Nancy P. Mendenhall, MD, FACR, FASTRO, Associate Chair and Medical Director of the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, has been selected by the National Association for Proton Therapy to serve on its newly created physician advisory committee.
The committee will provide advice on topics such as clinical research, patient education, and insurance reimbursement. J. Isabelle Choi, MD, clinical director and research director of New York Proton Center and assistant member at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, will serve as committee chair.
Committee members will help promote the benefits of proton therapy, attend advocacy meetings with representatives of state and federal agencies and federal lawmakers, and support proton therapy research. Learn more about the National Association for Proton Therapy and the committee here.
