On February 22, 2014, the UF Department of Radiation Oncology celebrated its 50th anniversary with reflections by Drs. William Mendenhall (class of 1982), Paul Okunieff, Michael Good, Nancy Mendenhall (class of 1984), Robert Amdur (class of 1989), Alan Porter (1974), and Doug Fein (class of 1993). These speakers were joined by the very first Radiation Oncology resident, Dr. Thomas Sawyer (class of 1969), in celebrating the history of the department and honoring the life and legacy of its first chair, Dr. Rodney Million.
