Physician Residents Welcome Dr. Henry Park, Distinguished Yale Researcher, as Visiting Professor

Physician residents of the Porter Department of Radiation Oncology were honored to welcome Henry S. Park, MD, MPH, Professor of Therapeutic Radiology, Yale School of Medicine, as Visiting Professor on April 16 and 17, 2026.

Dr. Park, who leads thoracic and PET-guided radiotherapy programs, holds leadership roles at Yale Cancer Center’s Clinical Trials Office, including directing radiation oncology research efforts. He is a renowned cancer specialist who has authored more than 200 scholarly publications and received multiple awards recognizing his impact in patient care, research, and education.

Dr. Park’s presentation for the program’s teaching conference, “Evolution of Locally Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Management in the Immunotherapy and Targeted Therapy Era”, outlined new strategies for lung cancer patients – including combined immune therapies, treatments employed in a different order, and precise radiation techniques – that provide the most effective therapy with the fewest side effects.
