The UF Health Department of Radiation Oncology is pleased to welcome back Judith Lightsey, MD, who has rejoined the team at the Davis Cancer Pavilion as a part-time Clinical Associate Professor. Dr. Lightsey specializes in the care of patients with gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) cancers.
Dr. Lightsey studied biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) before earning her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed her residency in radiation oncology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Her career path has included academic and leadership roles as a teacher at Johns Hopkins University and an Assistant Chief of Radiation Oncology at St. Agnes Healthcare. Dr. Lightsey first joined UF Health in 2004, where she spent more than a decade providing care to patients with breast cancer and lymphomas; she now returns with a renewed focus on GI and GU cancers.
