Dr. Daniel Indelicato Receives ASTRO Fellow Designation

Daniel J. Indelicato, MD,  has been selected by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) among 48 distinguished members to receive the ASTRO Fellow (FASTRO) designation for its 2024 class, and was recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, October 1 during ASTRO’s 66th Annual Meeting.

Dr. Indelicato (shown right) is a tenured professor and vice chair of the University of Florida Department of Radiation Oncology. He currently holds the William and Joan Mendenhall Endowed Professorship of Radiotherapy and was appointed as an Honorary Fellow of the British Royal College of Radiology. He directs the University of Florida pediatric radiotherapy program and specializes in caring for children with brain tumors and sarcomas at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute.

The ASTRO Fellows program recognizes individuals who have made substantial contributions to the Society and to the field of radiation oncology through research, education, patient care and service to the field. Since its inception in 2006, the FASTRO designation has been awarded to just 498 of ASTRO’s 10,000 members worldwide.
