The UF Department of Radiation Oncology announced this fall that Julie Bradley, MD, MHCDS has been recognized as an Exemplary Teacher for 2022-2023 .
Dr. Bradley (right), an Associate Professor with tenure, is well known for her research and clinical expertise in the areas of breast cancer and pediatric tumors, and serves as the breast cancer program director at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute.
Faculty are selected as Exemplary Teachers based on the excellence of their teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, graduate students, and postdoctoral students, as well as their mentorship of other faculty. Eligible candidates are nominated for the Exemplary Teacher Award by each department and participate in a college-wide competition to receive an incentive. Only 10% achieve this distinction.
Each exemplary teacher will receive a lapel pin each year they are recognized as an exemplary teacher. First-time exemplary teachers will receive a plaque and, upon every milestone year (fifth, tenth, etc.), they will receive a commemorative award from the Office of Educational Affairs.
