Assistant Professor Appointed Vice Chair of the NRG Oncology DEI Committee

UF Radiation Oncology Assistant ProfessorDr. Kate Hitchcock Kathryn E. Hitchcock, MD, PhD has been appointed vice chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee of NRG Oncology, a nonprofit research organization.

“I am so grateful to have this opportunity to work toward appropriate representation in the future of oncology,” Dr. Hitchcock told the University of Florida Health Cancer Center. “Both our investigators and our patients should look like our country in all its beautiful, strong diversity. It will be my pleasure to help get us there.”

The DEI Committee is one six NRG Oncology Administrative Committees working to “ensure the engagement of research personnel in high quality research and to support the timely dissemination of the group’s research results and important programmatic information.”
