Radiation Oncology Receives the UF Health ‘Likely to Recommend’ Press Ganey Patient Experience Award

UF Health Press Ganey AwardThe University of Florida Department of Radiation Oncology has received the UF Health “Likely to Recommend” Press Ganey Patient Experience award for the 2021 Fourth Quarter.

Patients receive the Press Ganey survey within 24 hours of a hospital discharge or physician visit. The questions measure service and communication performance, such as compassion and education, and examine patients’ perceptions of care, including getting appointments and health care when needed, how well doctors communicate, courtesy and helpfulness of office staff and overall rating of the doctor.

Interactions with doctors and nurses, the responsiveness of hospital staff, pain management, communication regarding medicines, care transition, cleanliness, quietness, and discharge rating are additional areas of consideration.

Press Ganey surveys are used by health care organizations like UF Health to improve the safety, quality, and experience of patient care.
