ASTRO’s Education Council and Committee on Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion has selected Assistant Professor Raymond Mailhot Vega, MD, MPH as one of three 2021-23 protégés for its prestigious Leadership Pipeline Program.
The ASTRO Leadership Pipeline porgram is a career development initiative aimed at increasing diversity among its leadership, which supports the organization’s core value of diversity and inclusion. Dr. Mailhot (right) will serve with the Science Council.
The two-year program is designed to develop the next generation of ASTRO leaders and the three selected leaders will receive a $1,000 stipend each year to support their attendance at the organization’s Annual Meeting, where they will report out on their experiences.
Each selected protégé will remain involved on ASTRO committees and/or task forces as a dedicated volunteer, and will ultimately help others understand more about ASTRO’s structure, leadership, and involvement at any level.
