Dietmar Siemann, PhD, Radiation Oncology Associate Chair, will present the UF Health Cancer Center Oncology Grand Rounds lecture “Cancer Metastasis: Issues and Challenges” on October 16, 2020, at 1 p.m.
The lecture will take place in UF’s Communicore building, room C1-004.
Dr. Siemann is Associate Director for Education and Training, UF Health Cancer Center; John P. Cofrin Professor for Cancer Research; and Co-Leader, Cancer Biology Concentration, Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences, College of Medicine.
The Cancer Biology Concentration is one of eight in the UF College of Medicine’s Interdisciplinary Program in Biomedical Sciences. Research conducted at the Siemann Laboratory is aimed at developing clinical treatment regimens that improve cancer prognosis and survival.
An Invited Lecturer for the Oliver Scott and Jack Fowler Memorial Symposium, Oxford University, in 2017, Dr. Siemann was the recipient of the University of Pennsylvania’s John M. Yuhas Award for Excellence in Radiation Oncology in 2018 as well as the University of Florida Research Foundation (UFRF) Professorship for the 2018-2021 term.
