Dr. Michael Rutenberg Receives the FEO Award

Dr. Michael RutenbergMichael Rutenberg, MD, PhD, an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology and a UF Health Proton Therapy Institute  physician, has been selected to receive the Faculty Enhancement Opportunity (FEO) award for Fall, 2019.

The FEO award supports faculty development activities, including educational experiences/conferences, work with consultants/experts, or activities in support of a new direction for scholarly work.

Dr. Rutenberg will use the award to participate in radiosurgery course offered by the University of Alabama. “The course will help facilitate growth and improvement in our program,” he explained.

Dr. Rutenberg specializes in the care of patients with gastrointestinal, central nervous system, sarcoma and breast malignancies. He also leads the reirradiation program at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, utilizing proton therapy for patients previously treated with radiotherapy. His research interests include esophageal and liver cancers, sarcoma, brain and spine malignancies, and breast cancer.
