Radiation Oncology Professors Receive 2018 Exemplary Teacher Recognition

Professor Jonathan Li, PhD, and Research Assistant Professor Walter O'Dell, PhD, have been recognized as Exemplary Teachers for 2018.The Department of Radiation Oncology has announced that Clinical Professor Jonathan Li, PhD (shown left), and Research Assistant Professor Walter O’Dell, PhD (right), have been recognized as Exemplary Teachers for 2018.

Faculty are selected based on the excellence of their teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, graduate students, and postdoctoral students, as well as their mentorship of other faculty. Eligible candidates are nominated for the Exemplary Teacher Award by each department and participate in a college-wide competition to receive an incentive.

Each exemplary teacher will receive a lapel pin each year they are recognized as an exemplary teacher. First-time exemplary teachers will receive a plaque and, upon every milestone year (fifth, tenth, etc.), they will receive a commemorative award from the Office of Educational Affairs.
