Dr. Randal Henderson, a Professor at the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Florida (UF) and the Associate Medical Director at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, will be leading a collaborative project with DiaCarta, Inc., titled “RadTox: Measuring Radiation Toxicity using Circulating DNA.”
This collaborative program between the Department of Radiation Oncology at UF, the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, and Diacarta will be funded by a Small Business Innovation Research contract awarded to DiaCarta by the National Cancer Institute.
Together, they hope to convert RadTox QuantiDNATM into a cutting-edge test that monitors radiation response in cancer patients using blood specimens from patients undergoing radiotherapy for prostate cancer.
