Walter G. O’Dell and Julie Bradley Awarded Bankhead-Coley Cancer Research Grant

Dr. Walter G. O’Dell, from the Department of Radiation Oncology, and Dr. Julie Bradley, from the Department of Radiation Oncology and the University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute, were awarded a $1.4 million grant by the Bankhead-Coley Cancer Research Program for their project titled, “Early Markers of Subclinical Pulmonary Vascular Radiation Toxicity in Breast Cancer.”

The Bankhead-Coley Cancer Research Program aims to expand cancer research capacity in the state of Florida and improve both research and treatment through greater participation in clinical trials. To learn more about this research program, click here.
