Personal Statement

The research conducted in my laboratory emphasizes the pursuit of experimental approaches and treatment strategies that seek to enhance cancer patient care. I believe that preclinical investigations aimed at developing novel anticancer therapies will ultimately provide essential insights enabling the development of future clinical treatment regimen designed to improve cancer prognosis and survival. I am actively involved in graduate student education and junior faculty mentoring in the College of Medicine and the UF Health Cancer Center. I serve as Co-Director of the Advanced Concentration in Cancer Biology and lead the UF Health Cancer Center efforts in Cancer Education and Training.
